The Operations Manager will lead the team to ensure a high level of productivity, achieve a high quality work product, deliver service levels and attain compliance and control objectives. This individual is highly visible and will collaborate regularly with Senior Business Leaders and other key business partners. S/he will be an advocate for the client, as well as be an implementer of initiatives that promote operations efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Responsibilities :
Manages a team of Credit Monitoring Analysts providing post-funding support for all aspects of commercial loan credit administration which includes tracking and/or calculating loan covenant requirements, verifying borrowing base information, and regular review and analysis of current monitored customers. Responsible for managing credit risk by ensuring timely identification and communication of early warning signs that might indicate credit deterioration.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement with discipline around end-to-end workflow/process skills; participate in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures; develop and implement best practices in loan operations related to monitoring activities
Ensure achievement of service levels, and strong control and quality performance; provide regular coaching, feedback and career guidance
Lead team driving high employee satisfaction and retention; develop a strong pipeline of successors; manage individual and team performance goals and expectations.
Manages compliance risk to the bank to include responsibility for ensuring satisfactory audits and reviews internally and externally.
Responsible for support of process and policy initiatives designed to improve speed, quality, overall efficiency.
Responsible for (or participant with respect to) development and implementation of ongoing improved methods of processes and procedures.
Assist with development and implementation of business strategy, and influence change through effective leadership and relationship management across a wide network of partners
Drive service initiatives through influence and partnership with internal teams (e.g., Risk, Underwriting, Relationship Managers, Loan Operations, etc.)
Coordinates with market partners with respect to issues and opportunities, and successfully leads staff to within service objectives and goals.
Present progress and strategy to varied audiences including management and business partners
Guide the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a strong controls infrastructure
Work with Risk/Control partners to proactively identify and close any control gaps that may exist; interact with internal/external auditors and regulators
Ensure team properly and timely monitors credit quality targets and adherence to turn time goals.
Ensure quality results and employees are timely and effectively coached to ensure high quality and production
Responsible for ensuring adherence to Credit Policy and applicable compliance regulations.
Qualifications :
Requires 5+ years of credit operations, monitoring, risk, underwriting, financial analysis, or related experience.
Demonstrated, well-rounded leadership with 7+ years in leadership roles managing employees in Financial Services (or comparable industries), Financial Service/Operations or Commercial/Business Banking Lending
Results oriented professional with expert knowledge of rules and regulations affecting business credit activities.
Advanced knowledge of loan products and underwriting processes preferred.
Well-developed ability to attract, train, motivate, develop and retain employees
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with ability to influence the development and execution of key operational strategies and projects
Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to present to varied and large audiences, including executive updates
Proven ability to make appropriate decisions in a high volume environment.
Demonstrated acumen to direct capacity planning/project allocation and coordinate/plan daily production pipeline
Established background in promoting a proactive risk culture and driving control initiatives, including knowledge of regulatory requirements
Exceptional analytical, project management, decision-making and problem resolution skills.
Global management experience a plus
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred, MBA a plus
