Oversee daily trading activities, assist with compliance special projects such as preparation of the Form 5500-SF, investigate issues and discrepancies and make recommendations for process improvement as needed.
ESSENTIAL KEY FUNCTIONS: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for critical day-to-day transactions to include, but not limited to creating reports, support for completing manual trades, movement of deposits, and SDR requests, and researching inquiries. Also responsible for review of fund notices and setting up specific accounts.
Investigates trading issues and discrepancies with the Trust Company in a timely manner. Serves as primary point of contact when issues arise. Collaborates with compliance and identifies and resolves trading or security issues related to plans.
Maintains trading and custody vendor relationships. Works as the liaison between vendors and the company.
Develops and adheres to policies and procedures in the trading and cash management area on an ongoing basis.
Understand, consider and apply various rules from mutual fund companies as it relates to short term redemption fees or trading restrictions.
Coordinate plan level reconciliations and collaborate with compliance team to reconcile discrepancies.
Oversee that monthly responsibilities are completed in a timely manner. Monthly assignments include but are not limited to revenue sharing, Rate of Returns, small negative balances and various reporting
Oversee other requests directed to Trading. Other requests may include Levy/QDRO, Master Trust Restatements, 1099R issues, and un-cashed checks.
Experience and Background
4+ years experience in financial services industry.
Associate degree; 4-year degree preferred
Experience with cash reconciliation
Proficient with Excel
