We have an exciting opportunity for aFragranceDevelopment Manager,based in our Piscataway, New Jersey location.The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic passionate team of FDMs who make it their mission to fulfill customer briefs, through creative collaboration and fragrance knowledge and expertise. The Essential Responsibilities for this position includes:
Coordinate all aspects of the fragrance development process, ensuring compatibility with the requested olfactive profile, customer guidelines, regulatory guidelines, bases, pricing parameters, stability protocol, etc.
Coordinate with Sales to ensure total customer satisfaction and timely completion of briefs.
Work closely with Fragrance Development leadership to ensure resource allocation is consistent with business objectives.
Manage projects throughout the development cycle for all assigned accounts.
Work with Perfumery to develop fragrances specific to project requirements and guidelines, and to create innovative fragrances for broad use.
Perform thorough olfactive evaluation of fragrances for assigned projects, including in-use testing.
Participate on in-house olfactive panel testing; manage and analyze olfactive stability testing and evaluate stability samples for a variety of clients.
Collaborate with marketing on developing trend forward fragrances.
Maintain an in depth knowledge of market products, and assigned customers product lines, as well as market trends in these areas.
Must ensure to keep up to date knowledge of scented products across assigned customer categories.
Compile olfactive mappings of customer product lines and market product lines.
Actively exchange and contribute to creative dialogues with customers, sales and internal creative staff.
Present fragrance training to customers and staff and assists in the development and update of the training curriculum.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 5-7 years experience in a Fragrance Development role.
Ability to travel as needed domestically
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, MS Teams is must.
Must be willing and able to work in and around strong fragrance odors and conduct olfactive testing.
Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
Ability to independently and as well as within a team.
