With moderate supervision and oversight, System Administrators provide support for University Server, Storage, and Backup systems. System Administrator's oversee moderately complex Windows and Linux environments. Assists with planning and implementing new technology infrastructures as well as protecting, tuning, and consolidating through SAN, virtualization, backups, and disaster recovery. Heavy focus on virtualization technologies, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and implementation of countermeasures. Strong focus on ITIL best practices and world class customer service.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 2 years combined experience in one or more of the following:
experience as a Unix/Linux or Windows Administrator
server virtualization technologies such as VmWare
