We Are Hiring: Patient Care Services, Patient Care Technician, PCT, Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA

Renal Unit

Full Time, Night Shift

St Thomas West

Nashville, TN

What You Will Do: The Renal Unit is a fast paced, acute medsurg / observation area with a focus on patients who are treated for dialysis, renal failure, diabetes and sometimes kidney transplant patients. PCT's need to have a good understanding of intake/outtake, recognize the signs and symptoms of sepsis/jaundice. You will need good time management skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Prior SNIF experience is a plus! As an Associate with Saint Thomas Health Svcs-TN, you will have the opportunity to perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in the assigned area.

Responsibilities:

  • Aids with entry and exit of patients.
  • Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living (ADL's) such as bathing, grooming, feeding.
  • Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
  • Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment
What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Nurse Aide credential preferred.
Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
