Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst that can do a 2-day hybrid approach onsite in our Farmington Hills office. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set. 

Summary Statement

Achieves a service-focused culture with emphasis on delivering on-time, high-quality solutions to internal and external customers.  Creates test strategy, test plan and test cases based on documented requirements.  Manages defect reporting ensuring test results align with defined requirements.

Essential Tasks/Major Duties


  • Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.

  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT systems and projects across the organization.

  • Establish QA standards for software development, application integration, and information system performance, and corresponding documentation.

  • Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications.

  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.

  • Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.

  • Coordination of test activities and how tests are applied in complex and diverse environments (Test, Pre-Production, Production).

  • Ability to execute Quality Assurance activities  in an Agile environment.

  • Ability to provide feedback and directions with developers as code is developed to support the recommended solutions.

  • Collaborate with project team to plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.             

  • Conduct regression, systems integration and user acceptance testing according to quality.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 8 years progressive quality assurance experience supporting medium to large size projects.

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft TFS/VSTS

  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.

  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.

  • Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies.

  • Extensive experience with core software applications, including Microsoft web and client/server applications.

  • Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
