SUMMARY

The QCM is responsible for identifying inventory and order quality, identifying and recommending operational process improvements, conducting random sampling and preparing quality documents by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Additionally, the QCM assists with developing and/or updating SOPs, developing QA procedures IAW contract requirements and industry standards, and assists with inventory control procedures, including the inventory schedule.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Quality Control Manager serves as the primary point of contact to the Quality Control Director in support of the Marine Corps Consolidated Storage Program (CSP). The Quality Control Mangers will closely monitor regional CSP Customer Service Standards (CSS) and evaluate metrics as indicated in the Quality Control Plan (QCP).

The primary objective of the CSP is to provide organization and individual issue, recovery, storage, requisitioning, maintenance and repair, management (including visibility, accountability, automated shelf-life management, and forecasting) for equipment to support the warfighter.

Under the auspices of the Marine Corps Logistics Command, the CSP is the Marine Corps designated manager of fielded ICE, CBRN-D, STAP and SWS&CN. Via a centrally managed global network of regional and individual base facilities, CSP ensures that Marines worldwide have a single access point for serviceable equipment to meet their mission requirements. The Warehouse manager will recruit, lead, coach, mentor, develop, train, and schedule warehouse personnel while working with the Operations and Site Management teams to remain on schedule and meet customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:


  • Conduct review of the quality assurance system and evaluate for continuous improvement.
  • Report to the Regional Manager in support of the Quality Control Director
  • Implement Quality Control Plan (QCP)
  • Manage Customer Service Standards and consolidate metrics
  • Develop Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) program
  • Ensure compliance to contracted quality standards
  • Work closely with Regional Managers and Site Managers regarding Quality Control implementation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


  • Six (6) years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance
  • Five (5) years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management (SCM), or Warehouse Management (WM)
  • Continuous Process Improvement training and at least three (3) years of demonstrated CPI experience
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated metric development
  • Two (2) years of IT experience related to Logistics, SCM or WM

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Must have strong attention to detail and be able to perform in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional data management skills
  • Strong understanding of consolidating and reporting metrics

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work will be performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
