JOB SUMMARY: The Virtualization administrator under minimum supervision and direction, is responsible for applying creative solutions to supporting and maintaining a multi-tenant environment including Converged Infrastructure VMWare Validated Designs. Cross functional skills in Storage, Backup and server operations are highly preferable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Proactively manages environment including hotfixes, code upgrades, performance optimizations and alert monitoring

• Implementations –Server builds, tool deployments, NSX micro-segmentation builds

• Document processes and cross-train employees from other infrastructure towers.

• vRNI, vRLI, vROPs, vRA/vRO fundamentals

• Monitor and manage 25,000+ VMs and several hundred hosts in a MSP environment

• Adherence to HIPAA guidelines and restrictions

• Report creation Adhoc  and scheduled.

• Vendor coordination for technical challenge's and solution review.

• Creative solutions to unique problems

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

 

• 6+ years of Virtualization and/or server administration experience

• Technical and/or professional VMWare certification

• Strong architectural understanding of Virtualization, network and server operations.

• Cisco ACI , VMWARE NSX and Azure Could experience a strong plus
