Serving over 20,000 active youth, adult, and family members, the West Branch of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps members lead a healthier, happier life. Facility amenities and features include six fitness studios, three racquetball courts, full-court basketball gym, youth activity center, climbing wall, 50-meter swimming pool, and training pool.

Climbing Wall staff is responsible for providing education and training on different climbing techniques, belaying participants, and assuring safe and secure operating procedures.

Starting Wage:
$8.93 - $11.16

Key Qualifications:
Climbing experience is not required. Must be at least 16 years old. Must have current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire. Must become YMCA belay certified. Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, and professional and when interacting with participants.

Physical Requirements:
Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency. Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time. Position may require bending, leaning and kneeling. Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50lbs.

Schedule Requirements:
This is a part time position at approximately 10 hours per week. Current schedule is Wednesday/Friday 4:00pm - 7:00pm and Saturday 10:00pm - 12:00pm with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts on a substitute basis. Applicants must be able to attend meetings and training which may fall outside of regular hours. Ideal candidates will have flexible availability to accommodate rock wall rentals, birthday parties, and holidays.
