Job Description:

The Corporate Counsel role will involve consulting on government and commercial contract matters that are handled by the Equifax Contract Management team, as well as negotiating and documenting customer-facing transactions within the standard Equifax business and risk framework.  This position requires interaction with other members of the Equifax Legal team (including, primarily, Contract Management), with the Equifax Sales and Service teams, and with customers.  This Corporate Counsel will be dedicated to Equifax’s Workforce Solutions business unit, which focuses on providing HR-related services and solutions to employers in addition to providing services and solutions to lenders, employers, government agencies, and others who need information in regard to make informed risk decisions about consumers.  The successful candidate will have strong drafting, communication and collaboration skills.    

The successful candidate will also be willing to take on department projects and initiatives designed to improve legal service delivery within the enterprise.

Requirements:

• Law degree from ABA accredited law school and membership in good standing of any state bar; State Bar of Missouri is preferred.




• Minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferably at a large law firm.




• Experience drafting and negotiating customer-facing commercial agreements.




• Experience handling transactions in the data, analytics, professional services, technology, HR or financial services industries preferred, but not required.




• Experience handling contracts and RFPs with government agencies strongly preferred.




• Demonstrated communications skills.




• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, demanding environment.




• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment while working autonomously.
