GeneDx is seeking a Genetic Counselor II.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (flexible)

GeneDx is a rapidly growing CAP and CLIA certified diagnostic genetic testing laboratory for molecular genetics. Our historic mission has been to make clinical diagnostic testing available for people with genetic conditions and their families. We apply cutting edge technologies that provide a wide array of molecular genetic diagnostic tests, including whole exome sequencing and next-generation sequencing panels. Responsibilities include:

• Provides expert customer service to GeneDx clients


• Maintains a broad knowledge of GeneDx tests and serves as an expert for a group of genetic tests


• Writes genetic test reports at advanced level, including creating new report templates as needed


• Provides continuing education for GeneDx staff


• Attends and represents GeneDx at educational and professional meetings

• Master's degree from an accredited genetic counseling program


• 6+ months in a clinical/research genetic counseling position or practical diagnostic laboratory experience
