Overview

Our program is designed to provide Interns with a real-world look at banking. An internship with Fulton Financial Corporation will provide you with valuable experience in a broad array of banking operations. Under close supervision of designated supervisor, is responsible for observing Bank policies and procedures to acquire a working knowledge of a specific function/department of the Bank's operation and services. Specific activities vary by assignment. A wide range of college majors are considered based on specific needs of department such as: Accounting, Finance, Risk and Business related majors.

This role will is a part-time temporary winter break/spring semester role on our Commercial Credit team. Students must be open to returning for Summer internship.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties
Reports on progress in internship program and feedback about program to manager. Management feedback must indicate satisfactory progress to remain in Internship Program. Duration of program may vary.
- Intern may participate in Career Training/Education as needed, as well as, professional networking events.
- Commercial Credit based internship learning how banks underwrite loans to businesses.
- Data entry relative to financial reports.
- Prepare and present credit analysis to loan officers or loan committees with assistance from the Regional Credit Manager and Senior Analysts.
- Attend loan committees where sizable commercial lending relationships are discussed, evaluated and approved.
- Attend joint calls to business owners with Relationship Managers.
- Attend Market sales meetings and networking functions - internal and external.

Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or the Equivalent Experience or equivalent experience.

Fulton interns will be expected to have completed, or currently enrolled and in the process of completing, a 4 year college degree at an accredited college or university. Accounting, finance, risk and business required.

Strong academic performance is required.

Preference will be offered to rising sophomores and juniors. Would have completed a minimum of one semester freshman year and at least 15 or more credits. (Required)

0 to 6 months Experience requirements will match the needs of the assigned department. Previous work experience, leadership experience, and community involvement preferred. (Preferred)

0 to 6 months May or may not have had previous internship. (Preferred)

This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager. Each employee of the Organization, regardless of position, is accountable for reading, understanding and acting on the contents of all Company-assigned and/or job related Compliance Programs, regulations and policies and procedures, as well as ensure that all Compliance Training assignments are completed by established due dates. This includes but is not limited to, understanding and identifying compliance risks impacting their department(s), ensuring compliance with applicable laws or regulations, and escalating compliance risks to the appropriate level of management.
