The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units while managing resources, schedules and financials throughout project life cycles. This position requires the individual to successfully manage issues, risks, and change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery and contribute to process improvement initiatives as they relate to improving project delivery.
The Senior Project Manager will run projects on a day-to-day basis and must verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost, and to achieve the benefits defined in the business case.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or more lines of business
Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Full project life cycle ownership; successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for multiple initiatives simultaneously
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors and key stakeholders
Evaluate and assess project success

Strong ability to manage multiple competing objectives, to prioritize and to communicate complex information in clear and unambiguous terms to institute leaders and project teams
Ability to understand team dynamics and tailor a project utilizing change management approaches to foster team cohesion and ensure shared-accountability
Requires exceptional written and verbal communication, and ability to present to executive leaders
Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to work remotely with a high degree of autonomy and lead project teams virtually
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business, Engineering, Public Administration, or related field required
Master's Degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required
Evidence of relevant continuing education in the area of performance improvement and change management
Management or project management experience in a healthcare setting required; construction and/or facilities management experience required
Minimum 6 years project management experience with demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of projects
Experience leading multiple, organization-wide, large-scale projects simultaneously
Experience applying and/or Certification in Lean Management Principles preferred
Experience using tools such as Webex, Confluence, and Smartsheet
