TITLE: IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

LOCATION: MINNETONKA, MN OR MAYFIELD HTS, OH OR REMOTE

DEPARTMENT: BI

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for the design, development, and rollout of BI, Reporting, and Data solutions. The selected candidate will work with various stakeholders in the transportation industry to assess business needs, provide in-depth training, data and analytical focused recommendations, and provide valuable data insights utilizing a combination of data analysis, dashboard and report development, and presentation skills.

Position Accountabilities

* Effective visualization design techniques and dashboard presentation skills

* Design and delivery of operational reports, as well as metrics and alerts

* Provide high level business and analytical advice to customers

* Responsible for understanding the requirements of the business units and supporting the project and support teams

* Will work with the business users to ensure the technical solutions meet the requirements, and are developed and implemented with high quality.

* Establish a positive, service-oriented relationship by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of solutions.

* Learn the business - develop a solid understanding of the business functions and processes and implement solutions based on that understanding.

* KPI and reporting development

* Enforce Data Quality and Data Management practices in the organization

* Communication skills - Demonstrated range of methods to communicate with a variety of customers and end users, from both a business and technical aspect

* Oversee and effectively manage multiple project assignments

* High aptitude for detail. Ability to document progress during all aspects of active projects

* Responsible to develop, maintain, and adhere to financial goals and objectives of the team

Requirements:

* Demonstrated experience (certifications a plus) utilizing industry BI tools: Microsoft Power BI and/or DOMO experience a plus; or demonstrated skills in any industry leading BI software

* BS degree (computer science, mathematics, or data analytics) or equivalent professional and/or training experience

* 3+ years of experience with Complex T-SQL (Stored Procedures and Views, Query optimization and performance)

* SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) development experience a plus

* Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Dimensional Data Modeling, and ETL processes

* Experience working within Cloud Based Data Services and Platforms

* Strong proficiency in MS Office

* Knowledge of Web Services technologies

* Strong customer service and communication skills

* Passion for delivering high quality products and solutions

* Prior expertise in the transportation industry a plus

* Ability to own projects and work with minimal direction

* Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and design

* Organized and detail oriented. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to resolve scheduling and other conflicts in order to meet all deadlines

* Ability to read and interpret business requirements and technical documents

* A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

* Effective written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to work both independently and with a team

* Adaptability; self-starter; team player; focused; committed; work independently

Physical Requirements:

* Frequent and close visual work at desk or computer

* Frequent sitting and working at desk

* Frequent verbal and written communication with team and other business associates by telephone, correspondence, or in person

* Consistent lifting of displays, folders, files, binders and other objects weighing up to 20 lbs.

* Frequent opening and closing of heavy file drawers

* Frequent walking and standing

* Occasional driving of automobiles
