Applicator

Summary:

As an Applicator you will be responsible for correctly custom applying dry and liquid fertilizers to customer's fields and operating all applicator equipment including performing maintenance on the equipment.

Location: Humboldt, SD

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain all equipment and vehicles (sprayers, spreaders, trucks, etc.)


• Mixing, loading and application of pesticides/fertilizers


• Apply pesticides and fertilizers at applicable rates to the appropriate fields


• Handle and deliver bulk and packaged chemicals


• Perform daily vehicle inspections


• Clean and maintain equipment


• Maintain application/spray records


• Manage customer service relations


• Organize and coordinate application schedules with customers


• Knowledgeable with seed, chemical and fertilizer to make informed decisions


• Assist in other departments when needed

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Applicators license


• CDL is a plus


• Ability to work extended hours during busy agronomy season


• 2 year vocational degree or higher preferred


• Strong customer service skills that will deliver the services our patrons need to succeed in their operations


• Previous application experience preferred


• Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs - 75 lbs
