We’re seeking an energetic, attentive, and fun TVH Kids Lead Teacher with a passion for and experience with working in an educational environment to collaborate with Assistant Teachers and Parents on providing instruction and ensuring that all children are safe, happy and are in an educational environment abiding by KDHE compliance and carrying out the modified Montessori curriculum. Located at our Americas Headquarters in Olathe, KS, as a TVH Kids Lead Teacher, you’ll be responsible for these essential functions:
Connects with students to ensure a positive, educational and developmental environment
Ability to have flexible work hours between 7am and 6pm
Maintain clean and safe classroom environment for children
Deliver lesson plans for children to develop their social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills
Observe children and interpret their needs
Treat all children unconditionally and with same importance level
Coordinate communication with parents regarding children’s progress
Supervise and teach children inside and outside of the classroom
Monitor and track progress of children on regular basis
Establish and maintain a harmonious relationship with aides, other teachers and TVH Kids staff and parents
Remain current in KDHE regulations and requirements
Performs other duties as many be assigned
Profile
Qualified candidates for this role will possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university with a minimum one year experience performing a substantially similar essential functions for a educational environment. Other requirements include:
Demonstrates proficient knowledge of state requirements for KDHE programs
Demonstrated ability to deliver educational activities within a modified Montessori curriculum facility
Demonstrated experience with creating and maintaining a safe haven for children to grow and develop socially and academically
Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to collaborate in an effective, positive manner with staff members, children and parents in a team environment
Demonstrates effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children
Must be team oriented, possess a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
Must meet KDHE guidelines for facilities licensed for less than 100 children
Successful completion of KBI Background Check and medical screening
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
