The Principal Project Manager ensures that a successful customer engagement and experience is the prime measure of project success, enabling our customers to realize their business objectives. The Principal Project Manager is a senior leader who develops strategy, sets direction for teams, and perform in an influencing capacity to ensure the successful delivery of strategic engagements. This will include responsibility for creating clear and attainable project objectives, building appropriate project deliverables from requirements, and managing the triple constraint for Delivery Readiness Assessment (DRA) product launch projects. This role will also have responsibility for overseeing quality control, ensuring visibility and transparency into project progress, as well as predictively assessing and escalating project plan deviations. In addition to project management duties, the Principal Project Manager will also contribute and influence the goals of the Client Partner Program from a program management perspective. In this capacity, the Principal Project Manager will also be responsible for value stream mapping and process improvement for procedures and work instructions related to the global project management delivery framework.

Requirement to work outside regular business hours to meet customer schedules due to global customer base. Extensive networking with team members and other Agfa employees in other regions is expected. Regional and/or international travel will be required to meet with clients and other stake holders. Approximately 50% travel.

Main Responsibilities:

Project Management for Product Launch

- Ability to manage both the 'science' of performing project management and the 'art' of project management, which is learned through applied knowledge and experience.

- Ensures that customers realize maximum value from their investment by driving proper methodologies, processes, and best practices in all customer engagements.

- Collaborate with leadership in key project decision-making, including: requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of teams and approval processes.

- Reach consensus with key stakeholders on critical success factors to achieve business objectives

- Create and execute project work plans in accordance with project and partner agreements

- Schedule internal and external resources to meet project plan objectives

- Manage activities of project team members, ensuring completion of assigned tasks in accordance with schedule, resources, cost, performance and quality objectives.

- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

- Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.

- Manage and prioritize customer issue lists and socializes urgency effectively with R&D and product management

- Ensure all Agfa Healthcare quality documents required for the project's delivery are accurately completed, signed and posted.

- Preparing and administering feature usability scale surveys for release feedback within a repeatable standardized framework.

- Support sales during Proof of Concept in identifying gaps and red-flag issues that could be barriers to successful implementations and/or put us at risk of not meeting our customer's expectations.

- Provide strategic project leadership and tactical advice in the planning and execution for DRA sites.

- Identify upselling opportunities

Program Management

- Coordinate project interdependencies between partner types.

- Lead planning and execution of engagement and communications for partner initiatives.

- Program Plan & Schedule -- adjust/track customer engagement milestones (critical partner framework objectives) and monitor and communicate progress.

- Contribute and author the Delivery Readiness Assessment plan / report.

- Define processes and procedures for program reporting.

- Work with customer experience managers to develop customer engagement plans, customer journey mapping, and service blueprints.

- Ensure a consistent framework and deliverables are being aligned across all program projects.

- Proactively assess and own the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

- Coordinate contract management with 3rd parties and partner agreements.

- Lead program review meetings and work with teams to remove impediments.

- Manage program risk backlog and work with peripheral teams to address risk.

- Align with formal release activities - track and communicate with entire client partner program team.

- In partnership with program sponsors develop / implement program governance.

Training and Knowledge Transfer

- Oversee the training collateral for project management profiles and assist in the delivery of delivery readiness assessment workshops.

- Work to create innovative and compelling learning experiences for internal and external customers across multiple platforms.

- Moderate and lead the Global Services - Project Management communities of practice.

- Continuous improvement through practical lessons learned to achieve higher maturity in project management

Knowledge and skills:

- Proven success in the influential management and motivation of multi-disciplinary teams

- Proven capabilities in rapidly learning new domains to lead domain-specific discussions about project delivery processes and customer experiences

- Successful leadership experience in project management and/or product development/management

- Strong oral and written communication skills (including experience reviewing results with senior management and working in a global team setting)

- Commitment to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge

- Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with little guidance and supervision

- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and good business acumen

- Proficient with Microsoft Project Management and other Microsoft Office products

- Proficient in tools and technology required to manage virtual project teams

- Previous mentoring and teaching / training experience

- Proven presentation, preparation, and delivery skills to a diverse audience ranging from C-suite to end users

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability

- Strong executive presence

Experience:

- 10+ years of health care industry knowledge with direct experience managing Healthcare IT projects.

- Presentation preparation and delivery skills to a diverse audience from C-suite to end users

- Excellent written communication and presentation skills.

- Knowledge of HIS/RIS/PACS and imaging workflow

- Experience with multi-site HIS/RIS/PACS/EMR environments

- Experience translating project scope into an actionable plan

- Experience leading conversations with steering committees

- Strong negotiation and influence skills

- Passion for working with cross-functional global teams.
