The Research Assistant II is responsible for coordinating, implementing and completing clinical research studies or clinical trials by developing protocols, recruiting patients, assisting in budget and documents preparation, in-servicing research teams, recruiting patients, obtaining patient consents, educating patients, conducting study procedures, collecting data, keeping records, performing analysis, assisting in manuscript / abstract preparation. Research Assistant is intimately involved with the development of study protocols, development of web-based questionnaires, development of the IRB templates fielding IRB questions, collating of data, and organization and communication with study sites. Additional responsibilities will include advising investigators on research methodology and practicality of protocols for a practice based research network.
