The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Plant Engineering and Safety Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Provide Leadership for our Plant Engineering; and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Teams

  • Ensure operational EHS compliance to all applicable standards/regulations/permits and accountability though active and visible leadership and effective coaching to assure employee engagement

  • Oversee facility management, stock room, and procurement operations in conjunction with current resources

  • Facilitate continuous improvement in equipment uptime and OEE across operations

  • Development and implementation of the site 5-year infrastructure renewal plan

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:


  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a private, public, government or military environment in one or more of the following areas: plant engineering, project engineering, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing technology, product development, quality, and/or EHS

  • Experience leading teams and/or supervising direct reports

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a plant engineering role

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in an EHS or related role

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification

  • Working knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
