As the Senior Compensation Analyst, you will support the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) business unit’s compensation function in the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and policies. What you’ll do on a typical day:
Collaborate in the development of the new compensation system, including: building formal salary ranges, creating new processes for salary increases and administration, determining the approach to variable pay, and helping to provide education for leaders and individual contributors as it relates to the LTL business
Perform financial modeling to ensure viability of programs
Participate in regular benchmarking processes and analyze industry data to evaluate roles and determine competitiveness of salaries and total compensation by market
Develop and update quantitative models and formulate recommendations and revisions to the compensation structure
Design and build compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform compensation program decisions and analyze business outcomes
Partner with HR Business Partners and department leaders to provide appropriate guidance regarding pay decisions, policies, and job evaluations
Lead the gathering of insights by researching and networking with other companies to keep abreast of best practices and trends in compensation
Create materials to effectively communicate compensation programs, policies, and practices to employees and leaders
Manage participation in annual compensation surveys for Johanson, Willis Towers Watson, Mercer, MarketPay, and CompAnalyst
Administer the annual process for salary increases for LTL, including: system set-up, validation of data, and distribution of reports
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
4 years of experience in business administration, HR, finance, or related field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Windows applications; ability to create complex formulas in Excel, and quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends; occasional travel
It’d be great if you also have:
Master’s degree or CCP certification
Experience with implementing and working in SuccessFactors and MarketPay
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of those results; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
Ability to utilize a variety of interpersonal styles and communication methods to effectively adapt to new work structures, processes, or cultures
Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources, and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
