We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Maintenance Manager with our Manufacturing Facility/Chemical Plant located in LaPorte, Texas.

Essential Job Duties:

Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest priority.
Ensure that Process Safety and Risk Management principles are incorporated into the foundation of department operations. Ensure annual departmental goals and objectives include meaningful Process Safety activities for all levels of the organization.
Provide attention to detail and dedication to work in order to ensure reliability of the work site(s) as well as high quality product.
Ensure that all employees are respected, supported, and encouraged to grow and succeed in their job.
Support all Safety and Environmental programs and Responsible Care Guiding Principles to ensure protection of the environment, and the health and safety of employees and the public.
Establish and monitor key measures to ensure that a comprehensive and effective maintenance and reliability program is in place and that the Maintenance Excellence Process is practiced.
Direct and manage the site(s) maintenance staff to implement best maintenance practices and provide technical expertise to reduce costs, and improve process uptime and mechanical reliability.
Assist operations to troubleshoot and problem solve to eliminate problems or repetitive failures.
Coordinate all maintenance craft activities for proper, safe execution of multi-million dollar plant turnarounds. Aggressively seek to minimize cost and duration of turnaround activities.
Participate on corporate maintenance focus team.
Maintain a competent maintenance staff through selection, development, and motivation of subordinates.
Coordinate the use of contract resources appropriate for the sites.
Develop and maintain expertise in areas of specialization, new skill areas, and continuously develop overall technical competence.
Participate in programs to expand professional development.

BS, Engineering required.
BS, Mechanical or Electrical engineering preferred.
Chemical plant operation knowledge and experience required.
At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management.
Ability to work with people, manage and control costs, and design,
implement, and maintain systems designed to optimize the performance of the maintenance function.
Ability to work with the Computerized Maintenance Management System and accounting system.
