Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Quality Control Technician’s primary responsibility is to perform QC testing for Dymax, including all raw materials and products, and entering the information into multiple computer programs.

 

Responsibilities:

Ø  Perform the required Quality Control testing on finished products and raw materials

Ø  Perform in-process testing of Dymax products

Ø  Enter QC results into the Dymax ERP

Ø  Responsible for QC status of inventory items by both labeling and electronic (ERP)

Ø  This position requires effective communication with the Technical, Production, and Administrative departments at Dymax

Ø  Aid and assist with testing of new products during the scale-up phase

Ø  Aid and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions resulting internal or external sources

Ø  Aid and assist with raw material evaluation

Ø  Data entry work as assigned by the Quality Manager

Ø  Responsible for housekeeping and upkeep of the Quality Control laboratory

Ø  Maintain laboratory generated waste

Ø  Aid and assist Quality Manager and Quality Specialists in data collection, document review and testing for focused projects

Ø  Perform any other tasks assigned by the Quality Manager that pertain to Dymax business


 

Skills/Qualifications:

Ø  HS Diploma minimum, College degree in related science strongly preferred

Ø  Prior laboratory or chemical industry experience required

o   College laboratory experience applies

Ø  Strong computer and math skills

Ø  Ability to become familiar with analytical results and recognize inconsistencies

Ø  Fluent in English, written and oral

Ø  Ability with basic algebra and a basic understanding of statistical information (averages and other basics)

Ø  Familiar with Microsoft Office and show an ability to learn specialized programs

Ø  Ability to work with analytical laboratory instrumentation (FTIR, GPC, Karl Fischer, moisture analyzer, Brookfield viscometer and others), training will be provided on the job

Ø  This position requires an employment agreement

Ø  This position does require personal protective equipment
