Job Description:

Superior is seeking Entry Level Operators for our Hillsboro client on 6+ month contracts.

Cell Production Operator I reporting to a Production Shift Supervisor:
Assists in the operation of Cell production equipment. Works with maintenance technicians, processes and manufacturing engineers to ensure efficient day-to-day production operations in a high-volume manufacturing facility.

Essential Functions:
 Perform manufacturing tasks to established work instructions and procedures in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
 Initiate planned corrective actions
 Maintain housekeeping in work areas in accordance with 5S (Lean) principles
 Comply with all company safety and environmental requirements
 Enter data into computers and identify OOC conditions, respond to OOC according to established procedures
 May perform simple tasks including the movement of parts and materials
 Participate in shift “passdowns” as required
 Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
 Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency (e.g. GED) or passing a pre-hire skills assessment. Preference will be given to candidates with a high school diploma.
 Ability to read English and perform mathematical equations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) in all units of measure.
 Light computer skills and ability to read and enter data as required.
 Ability to read and interpret data from production software.

Must be able to:
 Stand or sit for long periods.
 Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bending.
 Ability to climb and descend stairs.
 Occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.
 Work in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levels.
 Use tools that require fine hand skills.
 Must be able to work in an environment where chemicals are present
 Visually, observe and differentiate small moving parts.
 Wear Personal Protective Equipment.
 Must be able to work a 12 hour compressed work week shift, either day or night.
 May be required to alternate schedules to meet production goals.
 Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment.
 Attendance is a essential function of this position.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency (e.g. GED)

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Food Service industry experience
Ability to read English and perform mathematical equations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) in all units of measure.
Light computer skills and ability to read and enter data as required.
Ability to read and interpret data from production software.
