JOC Project Manager - K12 Projects



The JOC Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing Job Order Contracting projects for three North Texas ISD's. This includes planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The JOC Project Manager coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors in order to deliver projects according to plan. They also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Key skills required for this role include project management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Experience in construction or a related field is typically required. The JOC Project Manager reports directly to the senior management and ensures that the scope and direction of each project are on schedule, as well as other departments for support. They also perform risk management to minimize project risks.



Responsibilities:

• Project Planning: Develop project plans, including budgeting, resource allocation, and scheduling for K12 projects.


• Resource Management: Identify and allocate necessary resources for construction projects


• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations


• Contractor Management: Oversee contractors and staff, ensuring efficient project execution


• Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate project progress to stakeholders.
  
  
  
  Required Skills/Experience:
  


• 
  Experience: Minimum of 10 years in commercial construction, specifically managing trade contractors on projects ranging from $500,000 to $15,000,000.


• 
  Education: Technical or engineering background preferred; field experience can substitute for formal education.


• 
  Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with JOC (Job Order Contracting) and K-12 projects.


• 
  Skills: Strong project coordination, budgeting, and personnel management skills.

  Background
