BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Program Manager for an opportunity in Chicago, IL!

Pay Range: [$55] - [$60]

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).


You will be part of a team where we;

- Manage the yearly technology Enterprise Initiative Planning (EIP) process together with our business partners

- Financial Portfolio submissions at program and project level, service provider allocations, buyer allocations

- New program and project setup in system of records

- We coordinate the financial portfolio work leading up to and through the Enterprise submission on behalf of the Line of Business portfolios, Enterprise required system updates balancing to targets. Work starts in March with Enterprise guidelines and timeline and ends in November/December with the 0+12 Forecast and the setup of new projects and programs to be used January 1st

In addition to the Enterprise Initiative Planning process, we also handle the in year financial governance and portfolio maintenance;

- Monthly balancing of the LOB initiative portfolios, at the project level in TPAS, to meet Enterprise Initiative targets by LOB portfolio

- Executes change controls on projects and programs on behalf of the LOB

- Updating system of records with approved targets

- Communicating to PMs and technology teams updated targets by project

- Document change controls

- Financial program and project set-up and maintenance

- Supporting LOBs with Enterprise QBR reporting and financial variance commentary related to the LOB initiative portfolios

We also create and communicate financial health of initiative portfolio, providing burn rate and run rate analysis on programs and projects.

The team is small and we need to have cross functional abilities to make sure we operate efficiently. Initially the role will be learning all aspects of what we cover within the team, in order to take on the role of being the main contact person for our business partners related to in year change controls (will be hosting and driving a number of these re-occurring routines) as well as coordinating the Initiative planning for the upcoming year. Key responsibility will be also be to continue to establish and improve our internal routines and processes. Will also help create a clear, coherent approach to guide effective communication with stakeholders, creating, publishing, and maintaining a comprehensive calendar of relevant deliveries and activities across the year. Finally, help driving financial oversight, execution, and control of the Initiative portfolio, working with stakeholders across our technology teams, Enterprise partners, LOB partners and Finance

- Financial and business acumen with preferred experience from bank / technology organizations

- Detail oriented to ensure all issues are researched to closure

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

- Proficient / well versed in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

- Ability to balance multiple and competing priorities in an extremely fast paced environment

- Proven analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills; courage to challenge a status quo

- The role is not a program or project manager role but experience from Portfolio Management is a plus
