The Opportunity: Patient Care Associate - Surgical Unit


Why This Role Is Important?


The Patient Care Associate (PCA) will assist the RNs on Ellison 7 with a variety of functions including phlebotomy and EKGs, transporting patients, checking rooms and equipment, assisting patients with dressing, and feeding, and some clerical functions. Our Patient Care Associate team prides itself in responding to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating respectfully.


Skills


PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, Patient transport to varies destination, and always communicating in a respectful manner.

Qualifications

Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care.


Preferred: Licensed, certified or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR


Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire.
