The Brigham & Women's Talent Acquisition Team (focused on Hospital Operations & Administration) invites applications for an intern seeking a 2024 Fall internship for course credit to gain exposure to the daily operations of Human Resources.


This internship is an opportunity to learn practical on-the-job skills and receive training in talent acquisition and exposure to other facets of human resources including compliance, employment law, operations and employee relations.


The intern will provide support to the Hospital Ops/Admin TA team in a variety of ways, including but not limited to:


  • Scheduling and conducting entry-level phone interviews with candidates

  • Soliciting reference feedback by phone as needed/requested

  • Preparation for and participation in hiring events (both virtual and on-site, if location allows)

  • Assisting with data integrity within the applicant tracking system (Taleo) by dispositioning candidates, reposting aging requisition, etc.

  • Researching various avenues for advertising niche, hard-to-fill positions

  • Providing administrative support with special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Healthcare, Psychology, Human Resources or related field

  • Prior administrative experience with proficiency in the MS Office Suite

  • A desire to learn in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality

  • Strong initiative and problem solving skills

  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Extremely detail oriented and self-motivated/flexible

  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.


Requirements:



  • Students must be currently enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program using the internship towards credits for that program.

  • The internship position requires weekday availability of at least 12-16 hours per week, with flexible scheduling between the hours of 8:00AM-5PM.



  • The is a remote internship and requires the use of a personal computer.
