The ideal candidate will have four (4) years of hotel housekeeping management experience fluent in Spanish. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The candidate must have knowledge of inventories, scheduling, and productivity. Must be able to communicate in Spanish. Knowledge of laundry process. High School math level required. Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members. Read, write, and speak English fluently. Ability to effectively manage time. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to bend, stoop, walk and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

Duties & Job Functions


  • Attend Housekeeping AM meetings to give daily direction, be visible on the floor, and assist staff as needed.

  • Prepare and submit required reports promptly.

  • Monitor the quality of service in the department.

  • Ensure compliance with SOP's and procedures in the department

  • Lead and conduct departmental and hotel training.

  • Meet and interview potential candidates and follow standards for hiring approvals.

  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

  • Comply with weekly and monthly forecasting procedures.

  • Respond to all guest reviews presented through Trust You and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program (i.e., floor care, cleaning, mattress flipping.) and maintain a detailed checklist for each position.

  • Maintain and control all housekeeping equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with all corporate Risk Management standards (MSDS, HazComm.)

  • Inspect rooms daily and ensure that some rooms are inspected with supervisors daily.

  • Inspect all VIP rooms before arrival.

  • Ensure that public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas are cleaned to Hotel standards.

  • Maintain the required pars of all housekeeping and laundry supplies by ordering all needed supplies and amenities monthly or quarterly.

  • Conduct monthly and quarterly housekeeping inventories on a timely basis.

  • Ensure guest privacy and security by correctly following hotel procedures.

  • Monitor work orders and submit to Engineering according to hotel procedures. Follow up on work orders to ensure completion.

  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings.

  • Balance and clear room status nightly; compare the p.m. housekeeping report with the PMS room status report and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Review daily Housekeeping staff's hours in the payroll system.

  • Monitor out-of-order, out-of-service, discrepant, and showrooms.

  • Must maintain constant communication with guest services and engineering.

  • Hold monthly safety meetings

Pay Range

Pay Range $ 75.000 -$85.000 /annual Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific experience/overall experience.
