Summary of the Position:

The Human Resources Coordinator, senior provides full, first point-of-contact Human Resources support to company employees.  Leads investigations including interviews and documentation of notes and findings. Will work with internal recruiters to help fill needed operations positions.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fields HR related questions and issues, conveying and supporting all JBSS policies. Works with benefits and payroll staff to address employee concerns and solve problems. Documents conversations with employees and communicates issues to JBSS management and/or HR as needed. (40%)

  • Assists with employee investigations, including conducting employee interviews, documentation of notes, and timelines and follow up with employees and managers of investigation outcomes. (30%)

  • Work actively with recruiters to source candidates and arrange interviews with operations managers/supervisors. Supports new hire orientation as needed. (20%)

  • Supports HR Coordinators with daily front desk tasks and coverage as needed including working with security access software to create badges for employees and temps. (10%)

  • Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.

  • Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.

  • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.

  • Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.

  • Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.


Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Two plus years of Human Resources experience

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Strong communication skills

  • Effective computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
