Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and organized Sales Support to join our sales team. The Sales Administrative Support Role will provide support to the Sales group for the Texas Materials- East Texas Area. The ability to multi-task, while interacting with customers, both internal and external and timely respond to all customer requests is essential in this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Interact with customers on the phone and satisfy their requests for asphalt, sand, gravel, and stone.
• Point of contact for sales team with all asphalt plants, sand & gravel pits, and stone yards.
• Perform administrative duties for the sales team.
• Enter projects, quotes, and orders for the sales team.
• Proactively research upcoming projects and gather bid information to share with sales team in advance of projects bidding.
• Maintain municipal bid calendar and previous results.
• Assist with credit accounts set up and onboarding of new customers.
• Monthly reporting including backlogs, outstanding quotes, expiring orders, etc.
• Assist with customer sales as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements
• Strong, enthusiastic communicator able to interface effectively in-person, over the phone, and across various technology or written mediums.
• Highly organized with a commitment to effective customer data management.
• A competitive spirit and desire to join a new, dynamic team.
• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years customer service experience.
• Highly computer literate and proficiency with Excel, Word, Google, etc.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail; proper phone etiquette, grammar, and spelling.
• Ability to problem solve and find solutions for customers.
• Ability to work well in a team and work closely across the organization.
• Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently at times without direct supervision.
• Sales / marketing background a plus.
