Position Summary:
Manage the development, introduction and lifecycle for the dishwasher product assortments. Ensure collaboration between business units, R&D and manufacturing departments based in Germany in both the development of new products as well as management of the current portfolios. The core tasks and responsibilities of the position include product portfolio planning, lifecycle management, product positioning, pricing strategy and P&L analysis, promotions and market research. In close coordination with the Sales, support the expansion of retail channels and forecasting.
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Bachelors or Masters Degree with at least 4 years of experience in product marketing or management - ideally with a focus on luxury consumer goods. Experience in using project management skills to lead cross-functional teams and in the development of new products. Account management or retail sales experience a plus. Fundamental understanding of channel management. Well versed in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams), SAP. German language skills (desired).

Essential job responsibilities:
• Serve as primary category management liaison with the business units in Germany
• Establish a thorough understanding of the U.S. luxury residential appliance market from both the retailer and consumer perspectives
• Monitor competitor activities and create and manage database of all relevant competitor products
• Evaluate the broader market and consumer needs and demands to successfully plan the appropriate products needed to increase share of Miele products
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure the product portfolio stays relevant to the dealer channel as well as ensuring growth in national accounts
• Establish and implement product positioning strategies
• Work to a critical path and ensure all product activities are on schedule
• Coordinate product launches with cross-functional teams (Trade Marketing, Logistics, E-Commerce, Sales, etc)
• Lead planning, execution and evaluation of promotions
• Develop and prepare presentations for meetings with senior management, customers and business partners
• Ensure profitability of product categories by developing sustainable, competitive pricing strategies
• Analysis of monthly category sales and margin development
