Voyatek is seeking applicants to serve as our internal Vice President of IT Services & Security within our team. This role offers remote work opportunities and currently reports to the Chief Operating Officer.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Vision and Strategy

    • Develop, communicate, and implement an annual IT and Security strategy for the next three calendar years (2025 through 2028)

    • Align and manage the internal IT and Security teams to align resources to meet strategic goals.

    • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.

    • Develop and implement communication strategies.

    • Develop and implement key performance indicators for the IT and Security team.



  • Leadership

    • Balance the needs and expectations of various stakeholders; such as project, business, and internal security requirements, IT requirements, contractual requirements, user experience, user needs, client needs, leadership input and delivery.

    • Build a positive and supportive environment for internal users and foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and communication based on Voyatek's Leadership Statement.

    • Manage the IT and Security budget and identify solutions to achieve security efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

    • Communicate clearly and consistently with end users, both technical and non-technical

    • Coordinate the IT and Security teams to allocate resources effectively and efficiently across user groups and teams.



  • Technical

    • Lead technical teams handling all internal IT and Security needs, including cloud infrastructure, device management, remote data centers, managed services, audits, policies, and other related tasks.

    • Lead efforts to modernize and standardize IT architecture and infrastructure.

    • Lead the documentation and maintenance of/adherence to a secure, comprehensive IT and security architecture that is clear, consistent, and compliant.

    • Lead SOC and other project-specific and corporate audits; remediate findings in a timely manner.

    • Work with our team leads to provide solutions to our project teams and internal users.

    • Implement and maintain best practices to track team effort and effectiveness in the deployment of technical support and services.

    • Provide leadership to office build-out strategies to ensure AV requirements meet employee needs (easy, accessible, reliable)






Qualifications:





  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field, Master's degree is preferred.

  • 20 + years of professional experience and 10+ leading a technical team of 15 or more

  • Strong project management skills with a record of accomplishment in building and leading technical organizations and in acting as a liaison between the technical department and project teams and operations.

  • Exceptional problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills

  • Experience with state and local government, NIST, SOC, and internal audits

  • Experience in a broad knowledge of various IT and security domains; including infrastructure, architecture, service operations, DevOps, and engineering.

  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and facilitating a corporate wide IT strategy.



The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is between $185,000 and $230,000.
