The Reality Labs Wireless New Technology Introduction Team is looking for an AI/ML Engineer to drive the state-of-the-art AI-powered wireless technology for AR/VR products.
Research Scientist, AI Responsibilities:
Develop AI/ML algorithms that advance the state-of-the-art in wireless technology in communication and sensing applications
Optimize algorithms for low-power and mobile compute requirements
Collaborate with hardware, product, research, and other cross-functional teams on code deliverables
Build technology demonstrations and communicate results to a wide range of audiences
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and statistical analysis techniques
Experience with Python, MATLAB, C++, or equivalent
Experience in machine learning algorithm development and state-of-the-art models (e.g., SVM, CNN, LSTM, Transformers)
Experience in at least one machine learning platform (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or equivalent) Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Experience with deploying AI/ML model to mobile computing platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in software engineering, or a relevant field. 3+ years of experience if you have a PhD
Familiarity with consumer hardware design process, and wireless technologies (antennas, RF, WiFi, BLE, 5G, etc.)
Knowledge of radar, sensing or other sub-systems in consumer electronics
Experience in communicating complex research in a clear, concise and actionable manner
