Job Summary
We're on the lookout for a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and collaborate with our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and Director of Nursing (DON). Your role as an LPN Night Shift Supervisor will involve not only ensuring the highest quality of daily nursing services but also supporting and guiding our staff to maintain exceptional standards of care.

Essential Job Functions

Collaborate in supervising the assignment and scheduling of our compassionate nursing staff. Provide hands-on nursing care support when needed to ensure the well-being of our residents. Actively participate in addressing nurse service challenges, promoting a harmonious work environment. Contribute to the development and evaluation of Resident Assessment and Comprehensive Care plans. Assist in maintaining an adequate supply of essential equipment and supplies. Ensure strict adherence to facility policies and procedures. As the LPN House Supervisor, you will play a key role in providing ongoing education to our nursing team, covering policy, procedure, and assessment. Possess the ability to recognize and promptly communicate any changes in resident conditions to the physician. Be vigilant in identifying situations that require additional support and be willing to seek assistance when needed. Demonstrate sensitivity and professionalism when interacting with residents' families. Adhere to the Arizona State Board of Nursing Rules and Nurse Practice Act. Report all witnessed or suspected abuse to the DON, ADON, or Administrator immediately. Offer "on call" support to nursing staff as per the schedule determined by the Administrator. Contribute to the meticulous maintenance of records of nursing, medical, and related services. Actively participate in quality assurance programs through regular communication with the ADON/DON and attendance at quality assurance meetings. Efficiently manage the utilization of central supply items for each resident. Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families. Temporarily fulfill LPN roles when necessary, as directed by your supervisor.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 100 pounds or more and bear weight. Involves continuous physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, stretching, turning, grasping, and reaching. This is a safety-sensitive position pursuant to A.R.S. 23-493.

Required Minimum Education, Experience, and Training

Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing. Current Arizona Nursing License or a license from a compact license state. Obtain/maintain Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Card at employee's expense. Maintain CPR Certification. Receive the COVID-19 vaccine or exemption. Complete annual Tuberculosis Testing. Fulfill the required 12 hours of annual in-service training. Mandated federal, state, and local communicable disease testing as required.
