Overview

  • Chart review, clinical schedule review to identify participants for pancreatic cancer early detection clinical studies high-risk surveillance clinics/registries, and multi-institutional collaborative projects
  • Schedule and consent patients for multiple studies participation and for research procedures; Collect human specimens from surgery and clinics who are treating pancreas disease patients or control subjects
  • Perform data entry and database maintenance; monitor IRB compliance and maintain IRB protocol approval
  • Customer service: Provide highest level of customer service to both external customers (patients and their families, referring providers, sponsors, etc.) and internal customers (OHSU health providers and staff) that meets or exceeds the service standards of the health care industry. This duty includes prompt, regular, and professional communication; attending required meetings and appointments; face-to-face customer contact skills; familiarity with or ability to learn available information technology; flexible coverage of internal service needs; and the continuous application of process and skills improvement.


Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 1 year of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate's Degree AND 3 years of relevant experience; OR
  • 4 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Computer skills; strong organizational abilities; strong data management skills; ability to work independently; exceptional attention to detail; punctuality crucial; flexibility in schedule (start time might differ because of patient appointments); ability to multitask; professional attire & attitude; ability to follow direction; empathy for patients


Qualifications

  • BS/BA
  • 1-2 years of clinical research experience
