Job Description:

Position Summary


Supporting and upholding the values, policies, and procedures of the firm, the Benefits Assistant works on the Total Rewards & Operations team in the Benefits group and will process assist in benefits operational support, including but not limited to, leading benefits orientation, processing benefit enrollments, processing monthly benefit/vendor billing, and performing ongoing audits to ensure accuracy between the benefits system and payroll system.



Responsibilities




  • Assist with implementation of new benefits programs and benefits providers

  • Reconcile and submit benefit invoices

  • Respond to benefits inquiries from employees ranging from general benefits questions to specific plan related items.

  • Approve benefits enrollments for new hires and any life events.

  • Assist with US open enrollment process, including but not limited to plan set up, employee communications, system testing, and carrier and payroll file audits.

  • Maintain professional relationships with several key stakeholders to ensure that information is communicated appropriately. Work as the first level of resolution.

  • Perform annual FSA Nondiscrimination testing and ACA reporting.

  • Perform quarterly audits of all benefit plans to ensure accuracy of benefits data and payroll deductions.

  • Assist Benefits Manager and Principal with supporting US benefits initiatives and ad-hoc benefits requests




Qualifications



Education & Certificates





  • Bachelor's Degree, required




Professional Experience





  • 1+ Years of Benefits Experience, required

  • Experience with self-insured plans, strongly preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with key internal and external Stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment

  • Proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information

  • Proven excel and data analysis skills

  • Ability to self-review

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and confidential issues

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and professionally as part of a team and with all levels within the organization.

  • Effectively manages time and takes responsibility for completing assigned tasks within expected timeframe.

  • Ability to think through situations and propose solutions to managers, while also understanding when situations warrant escalation to managers quickly.
