As part of this role, you'll be responsible for marketing and selling GPC products within the paper, corrugated, and other industries. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for the marketing and sale of products assigned to the paper and packaging group.

  • Reports on customer activities including shipping, and on order volumes, sales forecasts, and logistical items.

  • Reports all competitive activity, such as pricing, new products, policy, or quality.

  • Maintains up-to-date sales records in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and publishes reporting on contracted volume compliance.

  • Conducts market surveys, reporting, and other special assignments.

  • Initiates and maintains personal, phone, and written contracts with customers and makes the sale.

  • Cultivates accounts by maintaining close business relationships with Procurement, Product Development, Production, and other partners who influence purchasing decisions.

  • Identifies key accounts, both current and potential, in territory, and develops strategy to build and maintain business at these accounts.

  • Oversees internet inquiries and delegate as necessary.

  • Oversees new customer setup process for all industrial accounts.

  • Acts as pricing liaison between sales and customer service.

EDUCATION


  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relative field of study required

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Ability to work and perform within the framework of the Company’s long term objectives

  • Instinctive feel for markets and ability to relate to the needs of the same

  • Demonstrated ability to isolate problems into proper perspective

  • Honest, with a high degree of personal integrity and strong ethical business values

  • Ability to function and excel independently within an assigned sales territory

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Self-assured, highly visible and appropriately vocal, aggressive yet a team player

  • Ability to develop and implement targeted sales strategies

  • Minimum two years of technical or specialty sales experience preferred

  • Experience with wet milling or related starch industry desired


TRAVEL:


  • Minimal travel required (>10%)
