Infosys is seeking a Principal ArcGIS Consultant (Utilities - GIS Product Owner)

Role and Responsibilities:
In this role,
• You will provide best-fit solutions for one or more projects in Energy GIS domain.
• You will help clients with defining the market trends, architecture to invest and grow in GIS and allied areas advising the client on GIS strategy, value realization, implementation.
• You will be a key player in the GIS consulting team who will help discover and define the client business stakeholders, define and enhance problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations for applications that have an interface to GIS.

You will also be responsible to (but not limited to),

• Give demos during the functional workshops using the GIS product, participate in requirement discussions with the client for the GIS program.
• Map the customer requirements into the product and suggest workarounds/solutions for the requirements
• Develop functional design documents from the Functional specification documents and configure the package to meet requirements for projects in this area.
• Help and contribute to the architecture and design of the entire GIS solution and the key interfaces with sufficient research so that it adheres to the best practices in the industry.
• Design the forms, workflows and portlets, integration with the required systems. Should have expertise in development of solutions in the mobile platform.
• Perform issue resolutions during support /Post-Go Live phase and assist the testing team with the functional areas to be tested and guide the developers in resolving issues related to development.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Houston TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position will require travel and or relocation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 11 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience in ArcGIS

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 11 years in implementing GIS Solutions for O&G clients.
• Experience of at least 1 or 2 full-cycle implementations with hands on design, development, and deployment experience in GIS.
• Familiarity with process integration of GIS with other enterprise and operational systems
• Familiarity with GIS Product Architecture, ArcGIS server, ArcFM, Data Model, web services, python scripting, geo-processing services.
• Programming experience in Java Script, Type Script and ArcGIS Mobile platform.
• Experience of leading development team, working with client teams/SMEs and leading them through the project life cycle.
• Good interpersonal communications and analytical ability
• Ready to travel to client locations as needed
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
