Job Overview:

The Order Management Supervisor oversees the daily operations of all special-order processing functions, assuring that internal and external customers enjoy a positive, professional, and productive interaction with all team members. This position manages the day-to-day operations of the Myers Order Management team including distribution of work, time keeping, coaching/training of order management representatives, annual performance appraisals, and customer escalations. This role also supports strategic improvements consistent with corporate goals and initiatives, focusing on improving customer retention through a high-quality customer experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound business acumen and mastery of all internal processes.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Support outside sales representatives with product information, timely and accurate order status and

escalate exceptions to orders

  • Research customer requests or complaints regarding product availability, shipment, quantity, quality, delivery

and lead-time and take corrective action as needed

  • Work in a consultative manner with both inside sales and external customers, and foster a cohesive environment

within the sales support services team and across multiple departments

  • Ensure accurate submission of customer orders and change orders
  • Validate pricing, quantity, and product specifications on all orders upon initial receipt
  • Check inventory, price, lead time, and status of delivery identifying process exceptions
  • Respond to phone calls and emails in a professional manner and in timely fashion
  • Review and authorize return goods, invoice adjustments, and warranty claims
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees; communicate job expectations and monitor performance
  • Utilize reporting to track KPIs to ensure order accuracy and on-time delivery
  • Supervises a team of individual contributors

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Read, analyze, interpret and organize general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulation
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in a professional manner
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Read and comprehend complex instructions, detailed correspondence, and vendor contracts
  • Excel Expert, responsible for designing and implementing spreadsheets, analyzing data, and providing insight

that drives business growth

Education and Experience


  • Minimum two years' experience leading a team
  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • JD Edwards experience, preferred
  • Salesforce proficiency, preferred
