Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Midlevel Project Manager to join our Stony Brook University Team located in Stony Brook, NY.



Key Responsibilities:



Tasks to be performed include:


  • Work with University project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and their expected business benefits, based on PMO project management guidelines and best practices, through the entire project lifecycle by defining scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals. Effectively lead and facilitate meetings with a variety of groups, including project teams, senior leadership and external vendors.

  • Develop project documentation. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, making sure they are in line with business objectives.

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, quality, and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the enterprise.

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Identify and proactively resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.

  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Define and track project success criteria, including milestones and deliverables. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Determine the frequency and content of status updates from each working team in the project, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

  • Create a publish accurate status reports




Qualifications:



36 - 60 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance.



Mandatory Qualifications:



  • 40 months experience managing budgets, invoicing, tracking and reporting for all aspects of the project

  • 40 months experience identifying and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required activities and tasks

  • 40 months experience creating MS Project work breakdown structures

  • 40 months experience effectively lead and facilitate meetings with a variety of groups, including project teams, senior leadership, and external vendors

  • 40 months experience conducting risk and issue assessment and mitigation plan

  • 40 months experience creating project documentation, including: Resource Plans, Meeting Minutes, Project Schedules, Action Items, Sponsor Presentations, Weekly Status Reports, Lessons Learned, and other documents as required per the Stony Brook University project lifecycle

  • 40 months experience performing excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Proven track record communicating with all levels of stakeholders in IT and business

  • 40 months experience performing exceptional organization with reliable follow-through on task

  • Project Management Professional Certification

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range is $39.00 to $49.00
