Position Summary | The Residence Director of Housing Services position is responsible for:
The Residence Director position is a live-in position. The ability to serve in an on-call rotation and be available on evenings and weekends is required. |
Minimum Qualifications | - Bachelor’s degree. - Experience in a leadership role within Housing and Residence Life or Student Affairs. - Demonstrated experience leading a team of college students. - Ability to live in a residence hall (apartment provided). - Ability to work a flexible schedule (evenings and weekends) to meet residents’ needs and job expectations. |
Preferred Qualifications | - Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel, Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related field. - Previous University Housing & Residence Life experience, preferred professional experience (full-time or graduate level). - Experience working in a college or university environment. - Experience in professional staff on-call duty rotation. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively work and interact respectfully within a diverse and inclusive environment. |

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement | Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity. The starting annual salary for this position will be $35,568 – $39,432, but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR. An excellent benefits package includes 95% employer-paid health insurance premiums (employees and eligible dependents) and significantly reduced tuition rates for employees and eligible dependents at any of the Oregon Public Universities. After completing six full months employees are eligible to choose between our two employer-paid pension programs in addition to two voluntary retirement programs.
