Overview
Practice Fusion is hiring a talented engineering manager, passionate about creating life-saving technology for doctors and patients. Our cloud-based EHR is an ambitious Services Oriented Architecture hosted in AWS and written primarily in .NET, utilizing WebApi and WCF with a combination of ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core. This role combines technical contributions and people management. You will take on the challenge of managing development team resources and solving complex technical problems to deliver vital, reliable product features to our customers.
Responsibilities:

• Architect and lead development of technical solutions that are secure, robust, performant, and scalable
• Employ technical and thought leadership to drive products from inception to release
• Work with stakeholders to ensure the solution meets business needs
• Write correct, well-factored code that is testable and maintainable, and that demonstrates best practices
• Balance engineering costs of development, testing, deployment complexity, and run-time cost, to deliver optimum value for the business and customers
• Identify and recruit internal/external talents to ensure effective mix of competencies
• Induct new joiners in order to quickly maximize performance
• Allocate workload to fully utilize every employees talent and growth potential
• Implement development plans and coach for individuals to reach their maximum talent
• Provide regular constructive feedback on performance/development and address poor/mediocre performance in a timely manner
• Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent.
• Create and foster team spirit

Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications:

• BSCS or related discipline

Experience:

• 8+ yrs C#/.NET experience
• 3+ yrs in each of the following
• ASP.NET WebApi, WCF, REST
• Relational database development
• Version control and continuous integration
• Being a leader in agile teams, enabling them to deliver secure, scalable solutions
• Designing solutions using architecture patterns (caching, type-ahead, retry policies, queuing, etc.)
• 2+ yrs in one or more of the following:
• Cloud development (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Document storage technologies (AWS S3, MongoDB, etc.)
• Messaging systems (AWS SQS, ActiveMQ, etc.)
• 2-4 years relevant leadership experience (Preferred)
