RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a hugely successful Private Equity company with a $20B portfolio that is located in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Accountant.

Summary:
They are looking for a Senior Finance Associate to oversee a group of their funds from a reporting standpoint. The company works a hybrid schedule, 2-3 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities:


  • Key contributor to the quarterly close process, including preparing/reviewing closing, accrual, and depreciation entries

  • Preparing/reviewing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, P&L trending analysis, and management reporting

  • Assist external auditors with annual audit and tax team with reporting, filings, and K-1 packages

  • Play a key role in establishing effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal control framework

  • Assist with continuous process improvement initiatives, with a focus on the continued development of processes and best practices related to Oracle NetSuite and Concur

  • Coordinate various work streams with third-party administrator, ensuring that supporting documentation (invoices, approvals, etc.) is delivered timely and in accordance with policy

  • Assist with preparation of cash, investment, revenue, and expense analysis reports for senior management on a weekly and ad-hoc basis

  • Assist with generating and reviewing of portfolio company, fund/holding company, and employee billing, including adherence to Management Services Agreements and the firm's expense allocation policies







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance

  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP

  • Advanced MS Excel skills

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities

  • Demonstrated consistency in meeting deadlines with quality work product

  • Effective communication skills and ability interact with Senior Management and outside parties

  • Professional and energetic attitude

  • CPA preferred

  • Oracle NetSuite and Concur experience is a plus






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
