RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an International Finance Specialist in Washington, DC.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Grant Financial Management: Manage the financial aspects of international grant programs from inception to closeout, including budget development, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with grant guidelines and organizational objectives; Provide regular forecasts to inform decision-making and resource allocation

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with donor regulations, organizational policies, and applicable laws; Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with grant implementation

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for donors, stakeholders, and internal management; Communicate financial performance, variances, and insights to relevant parties

  • Audits and Reviews: Facilitate external audits and donor reviews as required; Coordinate responses to audit findings and implement corrective actions to improve financial controls and accountability

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with donors, partner organizations, and other stakeholders to address financial queries, provide updates on grant utilization, and foster strong relationships built on transparency and trust

  • Billing quarterly

  • Standard forms

  • CFR 200

  • Reviewing of vouchers, expense reports from the field

  • Funding from USAID and passthrough organizations where they are the sub

  • Procurement policies and anything that has to do with the USAID = SF425

  • Managing sub recipients - send funds monthly to field offices

  • Reviewing all expenses

  • Chrome River - expenses are reported (interfaces with Oracle)

  • 100 expense reports in a day (ranging $20-$1K) opening report & finding electricity bill for office in Africa







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Experience working on the grant's implementation side not the donor side

  • Strong reconciliations

  • Nonprofit experience

  • Prepared donor Financial Reports (SF-425 and other)

  • Understand Indirect vs Direct cost

  • Strong multitasker and communicator

  • Able to multitask and handle multiple things at once

  • Strong communication

  • Experience with Oracle is preferred not required






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
