Summary of the role


Under the supervision of the Director, Employee Development, the Talent acquisition partner will be primarily involved in identifying and recruiting new talents. Combined with generating a pipeline, maintaining a successful offer acceptance rate, the talent acquisition partner will be responsible for managing the entire candidate process, analyzing data, and creating a deep partnership with key managers as well as potential candidates. Campus recruitment activities at American institutions of higher education and trade schools will be an integral part of this person's responsibilities.


The responsibilities for this key role fall into two main areas:



Talent acquisition

  • Contribute to the staffing process for vacant positions according to ANDRITZ hiring rules;
  • Keep abreast of the latest recruitment methods and carry out active headhunting;
  • Recommend and implement search strategies to identify the best candidates;
  • According to the annual calendar, participate in networking evenings and job fairs at universities, college and trade schools across the United States;
  • Participate in the salary recommendation process;
  • Provide efficient and positive experience for both hiring managers and candidates.
  • Regularly inform employees of vacancies and encourage internal mobility;



Communications and continuous improvement

  • Contribute to strategic intelligence on best practices and to the improvement of recruitment processes;
  • Suggest innovative approaches;
  • Help develop internal and external communications strategies;
  • Contribute positively to the employer brand by writing and posting attractive job offers as well as posts on social media.

  • Bachelor's degree i
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is an asset;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in talent acquisition;
  • Consulting experience in talent acquisition with strong abilities in building relationship with candidates and hiring manager is a strong asset;
  • Knowledge of university or college environments is also an asset;
  • Autonomous with strong problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent priority management and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Strong customer service and collaboration skills;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English (French or Spanish as a second language is an asset);
  • Diplomacy, empathy, discretion and creativity;
  • Positive attitude and available for occasional travel in the US and Canada;
  • Available to work variable hours depending on training and recruitment schedule;
  • Knowledge of integrated HR systems, such as SuccessFactors or Workday, an asset.
