We are looking for a motivated, bright, and talented Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join our company in our Middletown, Connecticut office. An entry-level Environmental Scientist, Geologist or Engineer will assist with environmental/engineering tasks for site investigation and remediation projects. Position responsibilities will support the characterization of contaminated sites, remediation system design and operation, system monitoring, data management/tracking and reporting. Fieldwork, data management, report writing and interaction with project staff will play an important role in the candidate's success.

What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran:


  • Collecting samples of soil, groundwater, and other environmental media in support of site investigation and remediation objectives.

  • Installing monitoring wells, performing remediation monitoring, and overseeing contractors.

  • Assisting in the preparation of various regulatory submittals, work plans, technical memorandums, engineering calculations, and/or engineering design reports.

  • Managing, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data for use in reports and other visualizations including maps, charts, and 3D models.

Candidate should be a self-starter with a desire to perform onsite field work and possess strong technical and writing skills to support a wide range of science and engineering projects. A successful candidate will also be detail oriented, have excellent verbal communication skills combined with a positive attitude, and an ability to work both independently and across multi-disciplinary and geographical project team environments.

$52,000 - $75,000 a year

Pay:

This position's anticipated pay range is provided above; final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect cost of labor differences between geographic markets.

Annual Incentive Bonus Opportunity:

Eligible positions may receive an annual cash bonus based on the role's organizational level, and is represented as a percentage range of eligible earnings.
