Job Description:

Location: Lexington, VA

Salary: $80,000.00 USD Annually - $90,000.00 USD Annually

Description:
The General Ledger Manager oversees day-to-day financial activities, including the establishment of financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. The primary responsibility is to manage and maintain the integrity of the organization's general ledger. This role collaborates closely with the Corporate Controller to execute the accounting function within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Tracking:
  
  
  
  
  • Supervise and track daily financial activities.
  
  
  • Develop and implement systems for data collection, analysis, verification, and reporting.
  
  
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  
  
  
  


• General Ledger Management:
  
  
  
  
  • Maintain the integrity of the organization's general ledger.
  
  
  • Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  
  
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), standards, laws, and regulations.
  
  
  
  


• Collaboration:
  
  
  
  
  • Work closely with the Corporate Controller to execute accounting processes.
  
  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial records.
  
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager or GL Accounting Supervisor.


• Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Office (particularly MS Excel), accounting software (ERP), and databases.


• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting standards, laws, and regulations.


• Minimum of 10 years of accounting or general ledger management experience.


• At least 5 years of specific general ledger experience.
