Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

To manage the inventory team to ensure that all inventory is reflected accurately in SAP & any other required systems- both levels and how it moves through the system. Perform all Accounting and SOX required monthly inventory management tasks. Provide leadership and direction to the team in achieving all set goals by identifying, developing, and leveraging their individual strengths.

• Intermediate level competency of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to record and report out data in a meaningful way to all levels of the organization

• Ability to develop and manage metrics that drive performance

NATURE & SCOPE

This position will report to the Supply Chain Manager. The position will oversee all other Inventory Team Members.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Accountable for department performance

• Manage and continuously improve the Inventory Team, resulting in cost outs and process improvements

• Meet regularly with direct reports, provide SMART objectives, development opportunities, and timely feedback

• Perform quarterly and annual reviews for team members; provide any disciplinary documentation and action

• Document process and procedures to drive sustainability

• Think globally; reach out to BAC counterparts to share best practices and maintain alignment

• Maintain accurate inventory levels in SAP

• Perform and analyze all cycle counts: monthly, weekly, etc.

• Perform required Monthly inventory tasks: negative review, WIP analysis, Lean Line cycles, consignment balancing, etc.

• Manage part inventory and replenish method set up

• Primary owner of all inventory adjustments

• Perform all replenishment

• Resolve PeopleSoft inventory and material movement errors at the root cause level

• Support the Accounting Department and Receiving to resolve any issues that may arise

• Manage any necessary flexing; ensure team is as well utilized as possible

• Coordinate preparation and execution of Physical Inventory

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk up to 40% of the time and work in a seated desk about 60% of the time. Working conditions include those of a normal office environment as well as conditions to be found on a manufacturing production environment. These include exposure to the weather elements when inventorying items in the stock yard, and loud noises in the production area. This position requires occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. and occasional bending, kneeling, reaching, and squatting.
