Job Description:

Develop and implement activities that encourage individuals, organizations, and businesses to become and remain donors to West Texas Rehabilitation Center. Assigned to fund-raising events and public relations activities that benefit WTRC; directly solicit individuals, organizations, and businesses for gifts to WTRC.
Maintains relationships within the community relative to obtaining gifts for WTRC.Utilizes available information and personal initiative to develop knowledge of WTRC donors and prospects. Checks Raisers Edge (RE) before visits.Makes donor thank-you calls during assigned periods on time and with appropriate RE entry.Notifies others when additional follow-up is needed.Possess the ability to work cooperatively with volunteers, corresponding Donor Relations staff, and other staff in a team environment for fundraising events.Assists and supports staff and volunteers for fundraising events, including event planning, management, and execution.Enhances public awareness of WTRC through conducting tours of the Center and other activities.Assist Donor Relations within assigned communities are discovered, developed, and maintained.Updates/enters data into RE after each event, visit, or donor encounter.Allocates time and costs to events appropriately.Enhances public awareness of WTRC through conducting tours of the center and other activities.Plans, implements and maintains all aspects of the WTRC Roundup events. Participates in Cattlemans Round-up and other Ag events. Foundation duties include maintenance of pens and team horses, Rehab Rancher program, and other Donor Relation events as required.Provides catering for required events with the WTRC Roundup.Plan the menu for each event. Inventories supplies such as food, cooking utensils, serving utensils, and paper goods. Coordinates all aspects of a Roundup event, i.e. Volunteers, tables, chairs, food, beverages, firewood, and other required supplies.Responsible for timely preparation at events, including set up, clean-up, and take-down.Follows annual and seasonal plans for fundraising activities.Prospects new donor relationships.Possess the ability to hook up and pull trailers of all types.Ensures all animals are maintained (i.e. vet, health papers, shoeing, etc.).Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
This position requires endurance to perform tasks over long periods of work hours and the ability to perform essential functions without posing a "direct threat" in the workplace. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
