Job Description:

Front Range Stone, is hiring an Accounting Manager to join our growing Team! While utilizing hands-on accounting experience, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and company practices, the Accounting Manager will perform complex accounting activities and financial analysis.

Front Range Stone, a Division of Patrick Industries, serves the entire state and is one of Colorados largest and most established custom countertop and commercial surface fabricators offering a breadth of countertop products including Granite, Quartz, Solid Surface, and Laminate.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Business Unit Director, the Accounting Manager is responsible for the oversight and coordination of accounting, financial reporting, financial management, business management and budgeting efforts as it relates to the operation of Front Range Stone

Essential Functions:


  • Guides Business Unit financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and applying policies, procedures and internal controls.

  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data and recommending plans to Business Unit Leaders.

  • Oversees and support the Accounting Department.

  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

  • Monthly financial reporting.

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements that comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.

  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.

  • Provide monthly variance analysis to senior management.

  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

  • Maintain the chart of accounts.

  • Issue timely and complete financial statements.

  • Support compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

  • Any other task assigned by Senior Management

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Candidates must have a minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.

  • Minimum of 2 years in public accounting is desired.

  • Experience with ERP systems and databases; Sage100/Moraware/Blackline/OneStream/Oracle experience highly desired.

  • Those with experience in manufacturing are highly desired.

  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations is mandatory.

  • Experience to include general understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act

  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional with the ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with little to no oversight

  • Strong accountability and follow-through skills

  • Strong analytical/critical thinking

  • A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities.

  • Prior experience implementing accounting software is desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
